'Perfectly Imperfect' Art Making... Building creative confidence through Play vs. Perfection

Mixed media artist Sharon Blair will guide you through a well-formulated approach to painting, imaginative/gestural drawing and collage in an inspiring mixed media collage workshop. You will learn to create quirky and colourful mixed media abstract paintings inspired by beautiful 'Buds & Blooms' and a rainbow of gorgeous colours surrounding us in nature.

This course is offered as a 2-day face-to-face studio-based experience, with a bonus day of self-paced course content to complete at home prior to our 2-days of art making together.

This course is jam-packed with mixed media techniques and guidance on how to create an eye-catching composition and professional tips on resolving your final inspired artwork. The end result is an original piece that captures layers of your own personal creative flair, and a bag of new tricks and inspiration that can be used as a springboard for new creations waiting to blossom when you get home.

  • Creating your own unique handmade flower stencils.

  • Mono printing handmade stencils with a gelli plate to achieve beautiful textures and colours in your floral designs.

  • Intuitive, gestural drawing of happy buds & blooms from imagination in watercolour pencil and acrylic washes.

  • Guidance on colour, tints and making gorgeous greys.

  • Tips and tricks on collage and layering using a variety of mixed media products and how to resolve your artwork.
